This painting was a pretty big breakthrough for me. It started oh-so-different than it ended up. It was one of those perfect situations where the painting wasn't working. It just wasn't. And when it's not working in that specific way, I don't feel precious about it. As a painter, not feeling precious is the closest you can get to free as possible. It's a wonderful feeling. And so I felt really free to try *again.*

I love how it turned out.

Each acrylic painting is painted on stretched canvas ready to frame or hang. Bits of the red underpainting show through at edges.
