In attempts to do a painting a day, I'm giving myself permission to paint a bit smaller. Yesterday's and today's are on 5"x7" paper whereas the bouquets last week were all on 14"x17" paper. It may come as no surprise that smaller pieces take less time.
I'm not sure why it took me so long to figure this out, but I'm glad I did because when painting a day ends April 1, I will go back to focusing on larger projects. However, I will no longer have the excuse of "I have no time for art today," because I'm learning that there are certain smaller projects that I can do in an hour or less. This list will be great to have on reserve for those physically and mentally busy days.
